Khoé: Could you tell us a little bit about yourself? What do you do as a profession and what is your greatest passion in life?

Renata: My name is Renata Oliver; I am a fashion and beauty Influencer who is extremely enthusiastic about traveling the world.

Khoé: How long have you been a travel enthusiast? How did you start out and what’s the biggest challenge and reward so far? Any tips you would give to people who want to realize their dream?

Renata: In 2013, I started my own blog on travel, aptly named “welovejetlag” with my first solo backpack trip through Asia.

“The name tells it all – my objective is to bring into focus the experience of traveling across different time zones and how to make the most of every destination you trip to.”

Khoé: What’s the biggest challenge and reward so far?

Renata: As a solo traveller, one of my biggest challenges was the fear of being alone.
I am a person who likes to be in the company of someone else and it took me a while to learn to be alone on the road.

But it is not always necessary to be on my own, I visit more than 110 countries. And I made friends in every single place where I can always come back and visit; that’s most valuable reward for it. I do not only travel for leisure, I also do it for business. As a matter of fact, it would have been so naïve on my part to not leverage the experience I get out of traveling to my economic advantage. Having had my efforts recognized by various global brands and companies, I have been offered a chance to work with many notable companies, and that’s a big reward also.

Khoé: Any tips you would give to people who want to realize their dream?

Renata: As you can see, I have accomplished so much by sheer desire to wander, and I believe you can too. This may sound a bit scary when you start, but once you get excited and start pursuing your dreams things are going to start happening.

Khoé: What does jewellery mean to you? Could you share a few tips for choosing or handling jewellery pieces for traveling?

Renata: Jewellery has an undeniable ability to bring out the best in me. When I wore the right piece sound as I shine and everyone’s gaze on me.
It is important for me, as a woman, to feel beautiful, elegant, special, and confident.

Regardless of where you travel or for how long, keep in mind that a holiday is a break from routine and everyday worries.

For most pleasure trips, the simple rule is not to bring anything that you will be afraid of losing.

For the most part, stick together with some neutral parts. A small hoop or studded earrings, a small pendant, a chain-link bracelet will work with several outfits. But add some fancy pieces as well. They will even decorate your most basic travel outfit.

My favourite jewel: It’s an alphabet -capital letter NUE necklace. It’s cute delicate and is easy to overlay with any other jewels making it a must have.
